Greetings everyone. This week we would like to acknowledge the feelings of grief and loss that many of us are experiencing during this time. Grief from the loss of loved ones due to COVID-19. Grief from the loss of loved ones due to police brutality and racism. Grief from first-hand experiences of racism in America. Grief from the constant images of violence, murder, and unrest. You are seen. You are loved. Please take the time for self-care, reflection, and meditation. Do what you need to do to take care of you.
We offer prayers of comfort and love.
Prayers of Our Heart
Bless those who mourn, eternal God,
with the comfort of your love
that they may face each new day with hope
and the certainty that nothing can destroy
the good that has been given.
May their memories become joyful,
their days enriched with friendship,
and their lives encircled by your love.

In Times of Sorrow
May you see God’s light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall,
You do not walk alone.

In Times of Loss…
We pray that in this time of loss,
You’ll feel God’s love much more
And that you’ll find your comfort
In the presence of the Lord
We pray God pours upon you,
His sweet amazing grace
And overflow your heart with peace
As you live in His embrace.
